Another display I made from my dad's momentos. This one includes his handwritten address book of his buddies using a Japanese pocket notebook. I am slowly seeing if any of those on my dad's list are still around.
A display I made to honor my dad and I gave it to my sister who has two sons (Marines) who served on the Iraq/Afghanistan front. There is a fairly rare P-39 patch in here.
My dad's cousin, Frances Tiedeman with his father at the family's garage in Madison. Sadly, Frances was killed in action in Germany about two months before the war ended.
My dad, Vincent A. Haak of Middleton, Wisconsin was a crew chief for a P-51 during WWII. Here he is shirtless in the Philippines in 1945. He was a part of the 3rd Air Commando Group, 3rd Fighter Squadron.
